So, guess who I talked to today?  Well, I wouldn't be this excited if it were anyone but MY MOMMY!!!  They plugged up her treach so she could talk.  She is groggy and sounds all doped up, but she is very aware, concious, knows what is going on, and remembers the things we tell her.  Oh I can't wait to hug her.....squishhhhhhh.

They are moving her out of ICU into a regular room today.  She will be in the hospital at least another month, meaning she will be in there during Christmas.

Her Dr. told her today that as sick as she was her chances of survival were 5 in 500!  He told her she was lucky and she told him that luck had nothing to do with it.  She told me she is so very humbled by all the people that care about her.  She doesn't even know the half of it, does she???

She isn't completely out of the woods yet and needs your continued prayers.  I am leaving a new prayer on the "Leave a prayer" page.  Please continue to pray for wisdom for the Dr.'s, peace and patience for my mom while she sits in a room for a month, and pray that she doesn't have a relapse.

Hip Hip Hoooooraaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I know our family has recieved an early Christmas present.....and that is Ms D. is moving them gums and she knows everyone. I took the opportunity to read back thru your emails and just reflected on how sick Ms D was. And thru her determination, the love of her family, and all the prayers of everyone who cares for her, we see the miracle of what God can do. Diane I cannot wait to see you in your "pew" and punching Larry trying to keep him awake thru one of Bobs long sermons.

Sat.

Last night we went to see Diana, she is in room 955 (9th floor), she is in a private room and she is doing AWESOME!!! God has blessed her with a nurse that went thru the same exact thing Diana had. So she has a someone who understands all the stuff she is going thru. They took the trachea tube out of her throat and disconnected the feeding tube, She was HUNGRY....and of course she ate Mexican food....... She got to take a nice hot shower and she felt so much better.... She walked 4 times on Friday, she is not sedated at all,,, (off the record her nurse said she is doing FAB and will be out very SOON>>>>).

Pastor Bob told Diana about her Daddy on Thursday...she was surrounded by Larry, her Mama- Barbara, her brothers Alan and Jimmy. Pastor Bob was very gentle and loving when he broke the news, she was wondering where her Daddy was, she even said her feelings were hurt that he was not there with her (before she knew he was with Our Lord). We are all so grateful for her recovery, we could not imagine our lives without our Diana. I see God's Hand all over this event. I see so many blessings from such a severe illness.

Diana is tickled pink that there is a whole website about her, and Larry and Zach can't stop smiling...... Barbara said she felt like a huge burden has been lifted from her shoulders...she loves Diana so much.

Thank you all for your continued prayers, please keep them coming, she is weak and she is a tab foggy about some things, but she is smiling and feeling so loved.....

When someone goes in to visit Diana, tell her Steve and Linda send their love and that her recovery is a special Christmas blessing for us too, all of us, getting to celebrate in the healing and power of God at work through this fight of her life. I knew that fighter she is would rise up strong-- tell her she is one tenacious lady and she is a living testimony! Yea God!!!! All the glory is His! His presence and power has manifest in such a precious way. We stand in awe!

Monday night - Dec 8th

I went to see my dear Diana tonight, she is doing awesome. It is such a gift to my soul to see her and laugh with her. She is almost off all the IV attachments and she feels really good. She can't even really understand how sick and near death she was, since she feels so good. She wants to know everything that happened to her and everyone else when she was sedated. She is enjoying everyone visiting her and is ready to get HOME!! Thank you Lord!
